Ramadan Awareness Campaign is an initiative designed to educate both Muslims and Non Muslims about the month of Ramadan, the most significant month in the Islamic calendar.
This year, the RAC campaign is targeting health. Through our presentations to school students across NSW, we endeavor to provide information and greater insight into the implications of making healthy food and lifestyle choices, and how these choices can ultimately affect long term health and well-being.
Note: This site will be continually updated throughout Ramadan, please come back to check out new content!
During the apartheid era, Edendale (Kwazulu, South Africa) was badly affected. Most homes
were lost as they were demolished by the white Government of that time. People mainly live in huts and small houses under poor and harsh conditions. The Edendale community qualifies to receive Zakat El Fitr donations as well as general sadaqa/dontations.
One of the purposes of the Kwazulu charity fund is to build an all encompassing Islamic center that shall provide welfare services, community support, Islamic education and much more...
On behalf of the Kwazulu Muslim Welfare Assoc (Australia) we invite you to see first hand the Edendale project. We hope that this proposal will give you an insight to the purposes of your donations.
Ramadan is here once again. For many Muslims it’s time to make additional efforts in their worship. For slightly ‘rusty’ Muslims, however, it’s time to try and recall what being a Muslim is all about. If you’re one of the latter, don’t panic! Here is a useful action list to get you started.
The night prayer (Witr) supplication (Dua Qunut) for the 7th Night in the holy month of Ramadan for 1428AH / 2007 CE. Prayer location is the holy mosque of Makkah/Mecca and lead by Sheikh Sudais
Well you may think I’m weird talking to a paper but I’ve decided to do something different this Ramadan. My friend Fatima says that every Ramadan she aims to learn something new and gain a new experience. So I’m going to do the same and I will keep a diary to record the spectacular event of me learning something new! Exciting, isn’t it?!
Anyway, this first entry has to be short and sweet because I’m off with my family to our annual Ramadan picnic – that’s where we all get to stuff ourselves silly before fasting begins!! See you (don’t tell anyone that I’m keeping a diary – how embarrassing!).
