Ramadan Awareness Campaign is an initiative designed to educate both Muslims and Non Muslims about the month of Ramadan, the most significant month in the Islamic calendar. This year, the RAC campaign is targeting health. Through our presentations to school students across NSW, we endeavor to provide information and greater insight into the implications of making healthy food and lifestyle choices, and how these choices can ultimately affect long term health and well-being. Note: This site will be continually updated throughout Ramadan, please come back to check out new content!

One of the largest mosques in Sydney Australia, Masjid Imam Ali (ra) in Lakemba, has declared that the last day of Ramadan shall be on Friday 12/10/2007. This means that the Eid festival "Eid El Fitr" shall begin on Saturday 13/10/2007 for a lot of Sydney Muslims.
May Allah swt accept all your good deeds for the holy month of Ramadan and we kindly remind you to pay the Zakat El Fitr, the compulsory charity at the end of Ramadan, to your neartest mosque or Muslim charity organisation. Remember your fasting is not accepted until you pay that donation to poor and the needy. This year the compulsory Zakat El Fitr donation is between AU$7 and AU$8 depending on the organisation which is collecting. Here are two charities accepting Zakat El Fitr: Human Appeal and Muslim Aid
