 Ramadan Awareness Campaign is an initiative designed to educate both Muslims and Non Muslims about the month of Ramadan, the most significant month in the Islamic calendar. This year, the RAC campaign is targeting health. Through our presentations to school students across NSW, we endeavor to provide information and greater insight into the implications of making healthy food and lifestyle choices, and how these choices can ultimately affect long term health and well-being. Today and Tomorrow
For those that are following local Mosques/organisations that are using the calculation method or global moonsighting, they have already declared that Ramadan this year will begin on Thursday Sept 13 2007. For those following local moonsighting, Ramadan this year will start on Friday 14 Sept as the crescent moon was not sighted on Wednesday night anywhere in Australia.
Please check with your local mosque or Islamic organisation for confirmation.
