| Here are some easy ways to earn extra rewards. Try to do a few of these when you are fasting! - Say: "La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir,” Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said if we do so, one hundred times will get the same reward as given for releasing ten slaves. One hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Shaytan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he." (Sahih Bukhari)
- Say 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day. Doing this will insha’Allah allow all your sins to be forgiven, even if they were as much as the foam of the sea. (Sahih Bukhari).
- The Prophet said, "Shall I tell you a word which is one of the treasures of Paradise? It is: La haul a wala quwwata illa bil-lah." Try to say this when you’re feeling angry or upset- it will help to calm you down!
- The Prophet said, "When the Imam says 'Ameen' when praying, then you should all say 'Ameen', as the angels say 'Ameen' at that time, and he whose 'Ameen' is said together with the 'Ameen' of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven."
- Be kind and merciful to others, including animals! Allah's Apostle said, "While a man was walking on a road. he became very thirsty. Then he came across a well, got down into it, drank (of its water) and then came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because he was so thirsty. So he went down the well (again) and filled his shoe with water and and watered the dog. The people asked, "O RasulAllah! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?" He said, "There is a reward for serving any living being."
- Learn to read the Quran! The Prophet said, "The most superior among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."
- Make Dua for others. Abu Dharr reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: When a Muslim makes Dua for his brother or sister in Islam without them knowing, the Angels say ‘The same be for you too.’
- Remember to say ‘Bismillah’ before you eat of drink. Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Allah is pleased with His servant who says: Al-Hamdu lillah While taking a morsel of food while drinking.
